Hi there! I'm Faye van Hest, a photographer originally from Amsterdam, now happily creating in Melbourne, Australia.
What started as a childhood passion for shooting cars has evolved into a love for portrait photography. Having spent 10 years modelling in front of the camera and the last 5 years shooting behind it, I've gained a unique understanding of portraiture. From how I connect with my models to the details of my editing workflow.
Starting my YouTube channel has been a massive milestone, giving me a platform to bring viewers along on my creative journey and share behind-the-scenes moments from around the globe. Funnily enough, my sister is a professional model, so we often team up to create an awesome series of photos, using everyday scenery and turning it into a cinematic piece.
The feeling of creating an idea that you’ve been envisioning, and then actually seeing it evolve in person: that feeling is unbeatable. I will keep chasing it forever.
